Who We Are
The New Hampshire Governor's Commission on Disability (GCD), a State agency created pursuant to RSA 275-C, serves people with disabilities, advises the Governor, Legislature, and other state agencies regarding disability-related matters, and provides technical assistance relative to the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) and other disability laws.
Americans with Disabilities Act
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is a civil rights law enacted in 1990 that prohibits discrimination against people with disabilities in all areas of life. The ADA guarantees equal opportunity for people with disabilities in employment, transportation, telecommunications, government services, and public places.
